Young people are an integral part of the ministry of Oak Heights. Youth are encouraged to serve, according to their gifts and interests, in the life of the church. The purpose of Oak Height's youth ministry is for youth to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, to develop relationships with other Christians, to grow in their faith, to become witnesses for Jesus Christ, and to increase the application of Christian principles in their everyday life. The following opportunities are available for youth:
Sunday School for grades 6-12, Sundays, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Sunday school is designed to help build a solid foundation in God's Word and make application to daily life. Separate classes are offered for middle school and high school youth.
Middle School Youth Nights for grades 6-8, Sundays, 7-8:30 p.m.
Youth nights include crazy games, and a time to focus on a topic relating to life as a middle schooler. It's a great place to invite a friend who isn't sure about what it means to be a Christian.
High School Youth Nights for youth in grades 9-12, Sundays, 7-8:30 p.m.
This part of our youth ministry is designed to help youth get connected with each other and with some caring adults. The topics of the discussions are geared toward life issues that youth face.
Special Events for all youth in grades 6-12, monthly.
These fun, non-threatening events are an opportunity for youth to invite their unchurched friends to have a positive experience with a group of caring Christians.
Confirmation Classes for youth in grades 8-9, Wednesday afternoons.
Confirmation is a two year focus on an overview of the Old and New Testaments as well as the history and basic beliefs of the Christian Faith.
Other opportunities throughout the year include events at Lake Beauty Bible Camp, Retreats, M.O.V.E. Urban Ministry Experience, and CHIC.

Adult Ministries
At Oak Heights we desire that adults of all generations grow in understanding the Gospel and become better equipped to take the next step in developing their full potential in Jesus Christ. To help people move in this direction, we offer these ministries:

Trained leaders meet with adults who are interested in building a solid foundation for faith and life.
Prayer Meetings for adults on Tuesday at noon and at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays.
