Grounded in the Scriptures
The Word of God, the Scripture, is God’s revelation to us, the only perfect guide for life and faith. We are committed to Bible based preaching and teaching that is life changing.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.
2 Timothy 3:15-17 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Faith in God is not a one-time event. It is a growing, developing and transforming process. We emphasize children, youth and adult ministries, so at every age we grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ, becoming more like Him.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Mark 10:13-16 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
The love of God demands that we share this glorious grace with others, so they too may experience the loving embrace of God. We are serious about proclaiming the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, locally and to the ends of the earth.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
We join together in celebrative and relevant worship experiences, to glorify God and draw us closer to Him.
Psalm 146:1-2 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, my soul. 2 I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Colossians 3:16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Becoming a community of people who know, care for and love each other is what it means to be the body of Christ. We are devoted to developing meaningful relationships, where there is no room for anonymity.
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
Colossians 3:12-14 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Caring for Hurting People
We reach out in love by doing acts of care and service to those who are hurting and needy, living out our faith in righteousness.
Proverbs 29:7 The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.
Galatians 2:10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.
1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
